Chris Walker presented a weekly Jazz Programme broadcast by radio stations all over the world for over 30 years. However he is also a very fine musician and was a founder member of the famous Real Ale and Thunder Band, who’s many T.V appearances, included a “Songs of Praise” for the BBC.
The Pedigree Jazzband is a traditional jazz group that has toured their ‘Salute to Trad Show‘ for the last 10 years. For their 2025 tours the Pedigree Chums are broadening the selection of numbers to include a selection of Jazz, jive and swing.
A wide variety of sounds can be expected from Chris Walker (clarinet, alto and baritone saxophone) Tim Eyles (trumpet and vocals), John Noddings ( banjo, guitar and vocals) Pete Maxfield (double bass) and Sy Gorelick (drums and percussion) the new show is titled “RED HOT & BLUE” and continues the influence on the band of some of the great names that created the original music in the southern states of America. Hence they now tour throughout Southern England, and if you miss them when they are in your area, you will miss out on a great show.
